The Only Reason To Do Anything
Come on…you know we had to. Incidentally, if you were curious as to where Kazama’s raison d’etre comes from, it’s from the pages of a…shall we say little known and little cared for experiment called “Naughty Girl Noriko”, where I attempted to see what DGN would have been like hentai-style. Let’s just say it gave me headaches and leave it at that. But it also gave us what has become THE Kazama quote.

Should have him say that in the next Satsuki Show if you ever do another one.

The official answer to that is this: if I ever get a new computer that I can do this kind of work on, I will absolutely do another SS. However, unlike in the past, the Satsuki Show would be something separate from the normal DGN continuity. The normal story would continue on schedule, and the SS would be a separate thing available at the same time. Satsuki Shows are fun things for me to do to be a little crazy and give some shouts out to the readers, but I’m not going to stop the storyline for them. And I’d still have to get that computer. Jim’s got a lot on his plate, so to handle his comic, DGN and special DGNs too would be a smidge insane. I would love to do more, but it’s going to take a little time.

I’m not pushing for you to make one. Especially if you don’t have the resources for it. I’m just saying, if you ever do happen to make one, this quote should be in it.

Oh, I know man….I’m just saying where I stand on it. I WANT to do them again, they were a lot of fun for me. And yeah, that quote really needs to be. One of the things I’m really stoked about right now is we’re going to be seeing a lot more of Kazama in the time to come. He’s actually one of my personal favorite characters for a lot of reasons, many of which will be made apparent soon. Let’s just say that he’s not as simple as people may think.

I know right. At first, he kind of came off as a conceited asshole, but you could say he’s got some justification for acting that way.
